The 3 queens of disco!!!!
this clip rocks!!!
Yes This was from a special that aired in 1993 called:
"A 70's Celebration, The Beat is Back'!......I was KC's road manager.KC Actually introduced: Gloria 1st (she sang "Never Can Say Good-Bye")Then Vicki-Sue, Then Thelma...And The Clip You just saw was actually the ending of that whole sequence when the 3 Diva's all joined together. Gloria NEVER HAD THE VOCAL RANGE THELMA HAS. I know Thelma Well and Her Voice-Coach in LA is Donna Summer's as well.
These were MY divas @ the times...thz fr posting, dude!
But Gloria never had the gifts vocally thelma did.Thelma can really, really sing even to this day.Her voice is up there with Chaka, patti and aretha.
I disagree. Gloria Gaynor was crowned the Queen of Disco back in early 1975 before Vickie Sue, Thelma, or Donna Summer even jumped on the Disco bandwagon. I think Gwen McCrae and Carol Douglas were the only solo female acts with Disco hits at the time. Gloria was queen even before Diana Ross decided to jump on the Disco bandwagon. |
