nah, you can make any kit sound good with good heads, tuning and a good drummer.

You had to be creative to win. I wasn't really concerned with winning. I already have an SJC snare and I don't like it that much, but thought it would be fun to do a vid.

beyer m201 on snare, some audix drum mics in there, audio technica. nothing super expensive
